Abstract

Ajibuhara Village is one of the villages in Karo Regency that still needs counseling in developing farmer skills in this village. This is due to the existing land conditions and supporting farming communities in increasing income and welfare. However, in increasing income and welfare in developing the skills of farming communities, extension workers experience difficulties, namely the absence of instructors from academics, in this case Agriculture lecturers, who come to the farming community to provide enlightenment on how to increase income and welfare. This is because it is difficult for academics to arrange regular schedules with farmers.

One way that can be done is for academics to start approaching the farming community in Ajibuhara village. The role of lecturers as agricultural instructors is very much needed to guide farmers in increasing farmers' income and welfare. Through the role of lecturers, farmers are expected to be aware of the problems they face and lecturers can provide solutions to the problems experienced by farmers.

The aim of carrying out this community service is for the Ajibuhara village farming community to learn to manage their agriculture using good bookkeeping/accounting methods so that farmers obtain good production results and in large quantities so they can increase their income.

The results of this service will be presented in the form of an article which will be published in the community service journal, namely the Abdi Parahita journal.
