PENGABDIAN KEPADA MASYARAKAT (PKM) BIMBINGAN BELAJAR BAGI ANAK BERKESULITAN BELAJAR DI SD 044833 NARIGUNUNG II KECAMATAN TIGANDERKET KABUPATEN KARO

Abstract

Tutoring is a process of assistance to students both individually and in groups who are unable to attend lessons at school even though their intelligence is average, slightly above average, slightly below average. The purpose of tutoring is to help students achieve optimal success. Through tutoring services, students can openly understand and accept their advantages and disadvantages, understand learning difficulties, causal factors and how to overcome learning difficulties. Thus, one alternative to overcome this problem is to hold "Tutoring for Children with Learning Difficulties at SD044833 Narigunung II, Tiganderket District, Karo Regency". This program is a community service activity carried out in order to improve the quality of education.

This program runs from 7,14,21 March 2020 with learning in classes I, II, III training in reading, writing, arithmetic. After the target has the ability and skills in reading, writing and arithmetic, an evaluation is carried out to achieve the learning objectives.

The criteria for the success of the tutoring program for students with learning difficulties resulted from being skilled in reading, writing, and being able to count according to their education level. In this program the goal is not only to provide reading, writing and numeracy skills but to help students overcome personal problems faced, providing adequate opportunities so that students can learn according to personal characteristics, evaluate the success of each step they have taken through learning achievement.
