SOSIALISASI “MEDIA TANAM YANG BAIK BAGI TANAMAN” KEPADA WARGA DESA PERUMNAS SIMALINGKAR KECAMATAN PANCUR BATU KABUPATEN DELI SERDANG

Abstract

A good planting medium is a medium that is able to provide sufficient amounts of water and nutrients for plant growt. This can be determined in soils with good air and water management, have stable aggregates, good water holding capacity and space for sufficient roots. Organic planting media is relatively easy to make with simple materials and technology. The raw materials are natural, making this planting medium biodegradable in nature so it doesn't pollute the environment. Organic growing media is safe for human health and livestock because it is environmentally friendly.   Community service activities aim to provide knowledge and skills to partners, namely PKK mothers from Perumnas Simalingkar Village so they can utilize organic planting media in their yards. This is because organic planting media is a good planting medium, has the advantage that it is safer for the environment and can be made from natural resources that are around. Community service activities went well with the participation of 56 people from Perumnas Simalingkar Village, 10 lecturers from Quality University, 1 lecturer from Quality Berastagi University, and 5 students from Quality University. PKK women from Perumnas Simalingkar Village are part of the community who are very enthusiastic in listening to the presentation from the service team coupled with the counseling activity "Good Planting Media".
