Abstract


In the course of their lives, humans consistently generate end products that are no longer used, either due to the loss of their utility or because they no longer provide benefits to the individual. These end products are often referred to as waste or refuse. Education on the importance of separating organic and non-organic waste is of paramount importance. Early introduction to organic waste materials and an understanding of simple waste management technology through the use of composters, combined with growing awareness, will stimulate community interest in adopting organic farming practices, even extending to the concept of integrated farming. One simple technology that can be introduced to the community is the utilization of simple composting systems. The goal of this initiative is to promote the use of these simple composters, which will enhance knowledge, awareness, and a sense of responsibility among the community for managing organic waste and converting it into solid (compost) and liquid organic fertilizer.
