PELATIHAN PEMBUATAN CHURROS KENTANG BAGI MASYARAKAT DI DESA BARUSJAHE, KABUPATEN KARO

Abstract


Churros are a snack or snack that is fried using a dough that is almost similar to typical Indonesian eclairs dough. Churros are very famous in Spain, France, Portugal, Latin America and the United States. Churros have a cylindrical, flat and long shape with a tip that resembles a star. The texture of churros themselves is crunchy and are usually sprinkled with cinnamon sugar or dipped in chocolate. The agricultural potential of Barusjahe Village, Karo Regency as a potato producing area is a resource for making churros. So the aim of this service is (1) Making churos a snack food that can be accepted and consumed by people in Indonesia; (2) Manage churros cakes from basic ingredients so that they have high value and are used as healthy and economical food or snacks for all groups in Barusjahe Village, Karo Regency. The participants in the service activities were PKK women in Barusjahe Village. The method of service is through socialization and direct practice. The results of the service show that PKK mothers are very enthusiastic about taking part in a series of service activities and will practice directly to increase family income.
