PELATIHAN AUTOCAD 3D PADA PELAKSANAAN PROYEK KONSTRUKSI BAJA

Abstract

In ancient times, engineers used rapido pens and tracing paper to draw engineering. Almost all technical drawings are done manually. Nowadays, along with the rapid development of technology, various software can be used by building designers. One that is currently in demand and developing is AUTOCAD. Autocad is a computer-assisted design (Computer Aided Design) application that is used to design or compile 2D and 3D models developed by Autodesk. Autodesk, Inc. is a multinational company headquartered in Mill Valley, California. Founded in 1982 by John Walker and Dan Drake, producing a wide range of computer software products has many AutoCAD commands that can be used in various specialist design fields such as architect, civil, engineering and so on. Autocad with all the equipment makes it easier for engineers to create more easily and quickly their imagination by directly modeling 3 

dimensions. The impact is very satisfying, various superstructure buildings that are owned as distinctive icons of their respective regions.

The obligations to each tertiary institution as described in the Tridharma of Higher Education are Education, Research, and Community Service. One of these obligations is that Quality University carries out Community Service, this is carried out in relation to the care of the institution or institution for Partners. Institute for Research and Community Service, University of Quality (LPPM UQ), responds to this concern by holding a Community Service activity entitled "3D Autocad Training on Steel Construction Project Implementation". The purpose of this activity is as input for the community, especially engineering students from the Medan State Polytechnic, who are members of Eltech Indonesia, while the purpose of this activity is to carry out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in the form of Community Service.
