Abstract

Social media is an online media, where users can easily calculate, share, and create content on the media. In the Millennial era, there are lots of social media emerging. It is undeniable that almost everyone, from teenagers, children to the elderly, is sure to know the names of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and others.

Social media will not be separated from its positive and negative influences, the impact depends on the users themselves. However, teenagers themselves can limit themselves with good morals and norms. The formation of character from an early age, including during adolescence, is very important for the future of adolescents themselves and more broadly for the future of the nation.

This service activity explains and provides concrete examples through case studies to adolescents at the Tanjung Morawa Youth Center Social Institution about the positive and negative impacts of social media so that later these teenagers can optimize their positive impacts and avoid negative impacts both for themselves and for teenagers others in their ward.
