Abstract

The research aims to analyse the effect of implementing the contextual learning model (CTL) on student learning outcomes in science subjects in grade iv of Smart Bangsa Private Elementary School, Medan Namorambe. The research method used was quantitative with a Pre-test-Post-test Group Design. The population of this study consisted of 50 fourth-grade students. The sample in this study, class IVA, served as the experimental class implementing the contextual learning model (CTL). The instrument used was a validated science learning outcome test. The analysis of the total student learning outcomes yielded significant result. Hypothesis testing used the t-test for the Experimental and Control classes. The t-test value obtained was t_count = 3,947 and t_table = 2,010. Since t_ count > t_table, it can be count that there is a significant influence between the learning outcomes of students who implemented the contextual learning model (CTL) in grade IV of SD Swasta Cedas Bangsa Medan Namorambe in the 2025/2026 academic year.
