Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode Numbered Heads Together (NHT) terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPAS di kelas IV SDS Dharma Wanita Medan Selayang. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya hasil belajar siswa yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai yang belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM), serta kurangnya keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu (quasi experimental design) dengan desain pretest dan posttest. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 28 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes hasil belajar, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar sebelum dan sesudah penerapan metode NHT.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan pada hasil belajar siswa setelah diterapkannya metode NHT. Hal ini terlihat dari meningkatnya nilai rata-rata posttest dibandingkan dengan pretest. Selain itu, penerapan metode NHT juga mampu meningkatkan keaktifan, kerja sama, dan tanggung jawab siswa dalam proses pembelajaran IPAS.Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Numbered Heads Together (NHT) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPAS di kelas IV SDS Dharma Wanita Medan Selayang. Metode ini direkomendasikan sebagai salah satu alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah dasar.

This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The pretest and posttest design consisted of all fourth grade students. Data collection techniques were conducted through learning achievement tests, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed using statistical tests to determine differences in learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the NHT method. The results showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes after the implementation of the NHT method. This is evident from the increase in the average posttest score compared to the pretest. Furthermore, the implementation of the NHT method also increased student activeness, cooperation, and responsibility in the science learning process. Thus, it can be concluded that the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) method has a positive and significant effect on improving student learning outcomes in science studies in fourth-grade students at Dharma Wanita Elementary School, Medan Selayang. This method is recommended as an effective alternative learning strategy to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools. | ||||||||||||
