Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) the learning outcomes of students using the conventional teaching method in the Water Cycle material for grade V students at SDN 105268 Telaga Sari Medan in the 2024/2025 academic year, (2) the learning outcomes of students using Diorama media in the Water Cycle material for grade V students at SDN 105268 Telaga Sari Medan in the 2024/2025 academic year, and (3) the significant effect after using Diorama media on students' learning outcomes in the Water Cycle material at the school. The problem identified in this school is the low learning outcomes of students in the Water Cycle material. The population in this study includes all grade V students of SDN 105268 Telaga Sari Medan, consisting of class V-A (26 students) and class V-B (26 students). This study uses a Quasi-Experimental design with an essay test instrument consisting of 5 questions. The average posttest score for students in the experimental class (V-B) was 84.23, while the control class (V-A) had an average score of 77.69. The hypothesis testing using the t-test shows that the t-value (2.25) is greater than the t-table (2.01), indicating a significant effect of using Diorama media on students' learning outcomes. Therefore, it can be concluded that Diorama media has a significant effect on improving the learning outcomes of grade V students at SDN 105268 Telaga Sari Medan in the 2024/2025 academic year.
