Abstract
The low learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in IPAS at SD Negeri 101810 Biru-Biru are caused by learning processes that are still dominated by conventional methods and do not actively involve students. This condition results in students being passive in asking and answering questions, leading to less optimal conceptual understanding. Therefore, it is necessary to apply a learning model that encourages active student participation, such as the Giving Question and Getting Answer learning model assisted by Mystery Box media. This study aims to determine the effect of the Giving Question and Getting Answer learning model assisted by Mystery Box media on students’ IPAS learning outcomes in grade IV at SD Negeri 101810 Biru-Biru in the 2025/2026 academic year. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest control group design. The research sample consisted of 45 students divided into an experimental class and a control class, selected using total sampling. The research instrument was a learning outcomes test, and data analysis was conducted using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing with a t-test. The results showed that the average posttest score of students in the experimental class was higher than that of the control class. The hypothesis test results indicated a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, which means that there is a significant effect of the Giving Question and Getting Answer learning model assisted by Mystery Box media on students’ IPAS learning outcomes. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Giving Question and Getting Answer learning model assisted by Mystery Box media has a significant effect on improving IPAS learning outcomes of fourthgrade students at SD Negeri 101810 Biru-Biru. This model is effective because it increases student activeness, conceptual understanding, and interaction during the learning process.
