Abstract

[19/5, 01.08] lako dronggi: THE EFFECT OF PROJECT BASED LEARNING MODEL ON STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES IN IPAS SUBJECTS FOR CLASS IV UPT SD NEGERI 067246 TUNTUNGAN ACADEMIC YEAR 2025/2026 ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on students’ creative thinking skills in science (IPAS) learning on plant parts material in the fourth grade of SD Negeri 067246 Tuntungan in the academic year 2025/2026. The background of this study is the low student learning outcomes where out of 61 students, only 30 students (45.24%) achieved the minimum mastery criteria, while 31 students (54.76%) did not. This research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method employing a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of two classes: the experimental class with 31 students and the control class with 30 students. Data were collected through pretest and posttest. The average pretest score of the experimental class was 38 and the control class was 36. After treatment, the average posttest score of the experimental class increased to 88.66, while the control class reached 84.16. The prerequisite test showed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous with Fcount = 1.05 and Ftable = 1.861. Hypothesis testing using the t-test showed that tcount = 2.45 was higher than ttable = 2.001 at a significance level of 0.05, so the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted. This indicates that the Project Based Learning model has a significant effect on students’ creative thinking skills in science learning on plant parts material. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning model improves students’ creative thinking skills with an average score of 88.66 in the experimental class compared to 84.16 in the control class.
